New Delphi component for using CodeBase as a BDE replacement

December 15, 1999 - Tiriss announced today version 1.10 of CB4 Tables, its Delphi wrapper for using Sequiter's CodeBase in stead of the BDE. The difference with previous versions is the support for Delphi 5 and C++Builder 3.

CB4 Tables is a set of components that can be used anywhere you want to use dBase IV, FoxPro or Clipper tables, but don't want to use the BDE.

CB4 Tables' TTable replacement has almost all functions a TTable has, and is developed to be completely compatible with TTable.

CB4 Tables' major advances:

• No BDE install, but a (small) DLL sold by Sequiter software inc.
• Compatible with the BDE, so it is easy to change ('find and replace') from using the BDE to using CB4 Tables. And if changing to the BDE is necessary, that is also very easy.
• TDataset descendant, so compatible with all standard Database components.
• Support for Delphi 3, 4 and 5 and C++Builder 3
